1-Day Defensive Handgun Class

This class is designed for first time shooters, but it will also be beneficial for long time shooters who perhaps have never received formal handgun training or just want to improve their skills.

This class will prepare you to be able to carry a concealed weapon safely and use it effectively if needed.

Topics covered include the four universal firearm safety rules, range safety, how to coach safety, chamber checking and magazine checking, loading and unloading, reloading, grip and stance, marksmanship, holstering and drawing from the holster, situational awareness, clearing weapon malfunctions, and more!

There is currently a $25 discount for youth ages 11-17. (Use code YOUTH25 at checkout) We currently don't allow children younger than that. Youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This class is a defensive handgun class and does cover some heavy topics related to the use of deadly force. We are relying on parents to determine if their youth are mature enough to attend.

Ammunition requirement is 200 rounds.

If you don't want to worry about buying and bringing all your own gear, you can use ours. We can provide a gun, 3 magazines, belt, holster, magazine pouch, eye protection and electronic ear protection. Just use the "Contact Us" page to reserve a package. There is currently no extra charge for using our gear! We may be able to include ammo at an additional cost, contact us to reserve it.

There are two gear packages available, .22LR and 9mm. The .22LR is not a practical defensive caliber because it is so small, but it can be great to learn on because the recoil is so gentle. It is also a great option if you are trying to keep costs down.
The 9mm package is more realistic for defensive training because it is the most popular caliber for self defense pistols.
